inFlow Inventory in one paragraph
inFlow Inventory is subscription software that tracks stock levels, sales orders and purchase orders in one system for small and mid-size product businesses. It is made by Archon Systems Inc., which its co-founders started in 2007 according to the company's about page. The vendor describes it as built for wholesale, distribution, ecommerce and field service teams. It runs in a web browser and has apps for Windows, iPhone and Android.
The vendor states that more than 50,000 businesses in over 90 countries have used inFlow, and that support is handled in-house from Toronto and Lisbon. Those are the company's own figures.

See current inFlow plans →The three inFlow products: Inventory, Manufacturing and Stockroom
inFlow sells three products on one platform, so the name can be confusing.
| Product | What it is for | Starts at, billed annually | Starts at, billed monthly |
|---|---|---|---|
| inFlow Inventory | Stock, sales, purchasing and reordering | $99 a month | $129 a month |
| inFlow Manufacturing | Everything in Inventory plus manufacture orders, bills of materials and labor tracking | $169 a month | $199 a month |
| inFlow Stockroom | Scan-in and scan-out tracking of consumables, with no sales, costing or reordering | $69 a month | $89 a month |
The vendor's own guidance is that Inventory suits most businesses, Manufacturing suits those that assemble products or sell kits, and Stockroom suits teams tracking supplies. Plan details are on the inFlow Inventory pricing page.
How inFlow Inventory handles stock, sales and purchasing
The product is organized around a product list and the documents that move stock in and out.
- Products and locations. Each product has a name, SKU, barcode, cost and quantity at each location. Sublocations represent aisles, shelves or bins on Core and above.
- Purchasing. You raise a purchase order, email it to the vendor and receive stock against it, by scanning if you use barcodes. Reorder points flag low stock and can generate purchase orders.
- Sales. A quote becomes a sales order, then a pick list, a shipment and an invoice. Stock comes off when the order is fulfilled.
- Costing. inFlow tracks cost of goods sold. The default method is moving average, with FIFO, LIFO and manual costing as options.
- Accounting and channels. Invoices and bills can be pushed to QuickBooks Online or Xero, and orders pulled from Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce and Squarespace.
The feature list by job shows which plan each of these needs.
A worked example: one order through inFlow
A wholesaler stocks 400 cases of a product with a reorder point of 100. A customer orders 320 cases. Staff create the sales order, print a pick list, scan the cases and mark the order fulfilled. Stock drops to 80, which is below the reorder point, so the product shows on the reorder list and a purchase order can be raised to the default vendor. When the invoice is printed or emailed, the order is marked invoiced and, if the QuickBooks Online connection is on, it is pushed there as an invoice. The numbers are illustrative. The sequence follows the vendor's documentation.
What inFlow Inventory costs and what it leaves out
Plans are Lite, Core, Pro and Max at $99, $299, $499 and $699 a month billed annually, as read on 3 October 2026. Lite includes two team members and one location. There is no free plan. A 14-day trial needs no credit card, and Core and above require a one-time $499 onboarding package.
Three limits are worth knowing early. Lot numbers and serial numbers are $39 monthly add-ons below Max. API access is a $49 add-on on Lite and Core. And the QuickBooks connection covers QuickBooks Online and Intuit Enterprise Suite. QuickBooks Desktop is not on the official integrations list.
Who inFlow Inventory suits and who should look elsewhere
It suits a business that has outgrown a spreadsheet, has two to twenty people touching stock and needs orders, purchasing and barcode scanning to agree with each other. If you are still deciding whether to leave spreadsheets, read inventory software against a spreadsheet first.
Look elsewhere if you are a solo seller who wants a free plan, where Zoho Inventory or Sortly start at $0, or a manufacturer who needs material requirements planning, where Fishbowl Advanced or Katana are closer. The alternatives page compares six options with prices.
